When someone asks us “what does it mean to be a Google Partner”, we tell them that it indicates I am a trusted tradesman, it’s as simple as that. And ‘trust’ is the keyword here – trust in my abilities to get the right PPC results for our clients.
Google’s technical advancements are fast-paced, meaning their algorithms are developed and tweaked constantly, their products updated regularly and their various platforms re-configured regularly. Consequently, the ‘rules’ for achieving success with PPC change with equal regularity. As a specialist Google Partner we are well placed to keep up and ensure our clients benefit from our specialist status.
It’s worth repeating that it’s in Google’s interest to make sure we succeed as PPC specialists so we can encourage our clients to come back for more. Hence the wide availability of online tutorials, help and guidance. However, you need an element of knowledge and experience to take full advantage of this training. The Google Partner programme indicates we are super-users. Apart from successfully completing yearly exams, it guarantees that we are managing significant budgets. Meaning I’m working on Google ad campaigns pretty much full time.
How did we qualify as a Google Partner?
To qualify as a Google Partner, we achieved two things:
- We passed the exam at the end of the certification course(s). In our case, this meant sitting three exams (see below) for our chosen speciality areas.
- We also had to meet the spend requirement across our managed accounts, and demonstrate performance by consistently delivering strong client and company growth. In other words, it’s not just a matter of getting our clients to spend their money! We have to follow Google Ads best practices to ensure we spend our clients’ money wisely and meet the targets we set together. That’s what it means to be an active and exemplary Google Ads user.
XNet Digital specialises in Search, Shopping & Display
We are Google Partner in three key areas: Search, Shopping and Display. Here’s a brief run-down on what this means to our clients:
Search: by passing this certification course, we have demonstrated our ability to create and optimise ads that perform well on Google search. It means I can help our clients build prominence and attract clicks from people with ‘buying intent’. It also means we can advise on keyword strategy and effective budget planning.
Shopping: as a Shopping Ad Google Partner, we know how to create winning campaigns by positioning our clients’ products and setting up their Merchant Center inventory for maximum effect.
Display: this certification means we create compelling visual ads grabbing the attention of customers on at least two million sites and 650,000 apps in Google’s combined networks.
Displaying the Google Partner badge
As a Google Partner we get to display ‘the badge’. This is significant because Google is very strict on who it allows access to its Partner badge. Being able to display the badge demonstrates the user has passed Google Ads product certification exams. This helps busy business owners select a real specialist instead of someone with absolutely no expertise whatsoever.
This is why you need to work with a Google Partner
In summary, this is what it means to be a Google Partner and how it’s a great way to filter out the fakes from the specialists:
- We’re PPC experts; specialists in our chosen field(s). Ours are Google Search, Shopping and Display.
- Google Partners stay up to date with the latest Google developments. We make sure to access beta features.
- Our Partner status means we practice what Google teaches us so we can hit the ground running. This is important whether our clients are new to PPC or experienced ad campaigners.
- We’ll work with you to set and meet ambitious, but realistic, PPC targets.
You, the client, plus your Google Partner is a dream team, both of you specialists in your field. Good luck with your campaigns – they have a great chance of success!
Just because we are Google Partners does not mean we put Google’s interests in front of our clients. Quite often Google will advise (through their recommend feature on google ads or directly from their sales reps) you to do things that simply will not meet client goals. Unfortunately, there have been many cases where this has happened. We ensure your interests are put first. Contact us today to find out more.
